About Todd
I've spent my life telling storiesÂ
Then I became fascinated with what stops us from telling them.Â
I’m an author, screenwriter, international speaker, and creative hypnotist. My work explores how story, mindset, and the subconscious can help us move from inspiration to action, and from the story inside us to the story we actually share.
My Story
I knew story. But there were still moments when I couldn’t access it.
For most of my life, I’ve studied story. Myth. Structure. Character. Theme.
I wrote books. I wrote screenplays. I worked with major studios. I learned how stories are built, why they work, and what makes people care.
And yet, even with all that knowledge, there were still days when I wanted to create and simply couldn’t.
The door to the work felt shut. Ideas disappeared. Confidence evaporated. And trying harder usually made it worse.
That contradiction fascinated me.
Because if knowing how to tell a story wasn’t always enough to help me tell one, what else was happening?
That question led me beyond traditional story craft and into psychology, hypnosis, identity, belief, and the subconscious mind.
And it changed the way I think about creativity.
Understanding story matters enormously. But creators also need to know how to understand themselves.
Today, that intersection is at the center of everything I do.
